  9. Be careful when you use 'is' / 'are' , 'many' / 'much', and 'a few' / 'a little'.
    There is .... + a/an countable food / uncountable food
    There are....+ (always) countable food with -s or - es
    Many + countable food with -s or - es
    Much + uncountable food
    A lot of + both countable(-s,-es) and uncountable food
    A few + countable food with -s or - es
    a little + uncountable food
    There is some + (always) uncountable food
    There are some + (always) countable food with -s or -es
    There isn't any + (always) uncountable food
    There aren't any + (always) countable food with -s or -es

    Many, much > usually for negative sentences
    A lot of > usually for affirmative sentences or questions (except for questions that start with 'how much' or 'how many'.
    Some > usually for affirmative sentences
    Any > usually for negative sentences or questions (except for questions that start with 'would you...?' or 'can I ....?'
